Poker Tournament Rules at Sky City Auckland
Please read our rules before registering.
Registration:
CPlayers must register at the Poker Room desk prior to the start of the tournament.
Late registration is typically allowed for the first few levels of the tournament, but this may vary by event.
Chip Counting:
All players must ensure their chip stacks are visible and untampered with.
Any discrepancies in chip counts must be reported immediately to the tournament staff.
Dealing and Play:
The dealer button determines the order of play.
All players must act in turn and must not act out of turn to avoid penalties.
The small blind and big blind positions rotate clockwise after each hand.
Betting Rules:
All bets and raises must be made in increments specified for the tournament.
No string bets are allowed; players must declare their intentions clearly before moving chips into the pot.
Showdown:
The best hand wins the pot. In the event of a tie, the pot is split equally among the tying players.
Players must show both hole cards to win the pot unless one card can win without showing the other.
Disconnections and Interruptions:
In the event of a player disconnection, the hand will be played out as per the tournament rules.
The tournament director has the discretion to make decisions regarding player disconnections.

Code of Conduct:
Players are expected to maintain a respectful and sportsmanlike demeanor.
Verbal abuse, harassment, or any form of disruptive behavior will not be tolerated and may result in disqualification.
Dress Code:
A smart casual dress code is enforced. No sportswear, swimwear, or offensive clothing is allowed.
Tournament Termination:
The tournament director reserves the right to terminate or modify the tournament under exceptional circumstances.
